Most outdoor spaces look great during the day. But once the sun goes down, they disappear. No visibility on the walkways, no atmosphere around the pool, nothing to show off the landscape you put money into. That's exactly the problem good outdoor lighting solves.

We've been adding landscape lighting to more of our projects lately, and this setup is a great example of what a well-planned system can do. Bollard lights run the length of the concrete walkways, keeping the paths safe and visible at night without being harsh or overpowering. Uplights hit the columnar evergreens at just the right angle, giving the whole space some drama and depth after dark.

Around the pool, the spacing and placement of each fixture was thought through carefully. The goal isn't to flood everything with light - it's to layer it. You want enough to move around safely, enough to highlight the landscaping, and enough to set a mood. When it's done right, it feels intentional. Not like someone just stuck lights in the ground and called it a day.

This kind of work ties directly into our landscape design and outdoor living approach. Lighting is part of the overall plan - not an afterthought. Whether we're laying out a new walkway, designing a hardscape around a pool, or installing full landscape beds, lighting is a conversation we're having from the start. It's one of those details that separates a good outdoor space from a great one.

We're excited to be incorporating these fixtures into more of our upcoming work. If your yard goes dark the second the sun sets, that's worth fixing. A thoughtful lighting plan can change how you use your outdoor space entirely.
