This Stillwater property had a real erosion problem. The grade along the side and back of the home was washing out, the backyard had no structure to it, and the front curb appeal just wasn't there. The homeowner needed solutions that would actually hold up - not just look good for a season.
We started with the big structural work first. A 120-foot retaining wall runs along the property to lock in the grade and stop the washout for good. We also built out a flagstone stepper walkway along the side of the house, set in river rock gravel - so that narrow corridor between the house and fence is now functional and clean instead of a muddy mess nobody wants to walk through.
Out back, we put up a 12x14 cedar pergola right off the patio. Cedar is a great choice for Oklahoma - it handles the heat and humidity better than a lot of other woods, and the rich stain on this one looks sharp against the brick. The privacy fence ties the whole backyard together and gives the space that enclosed, usable feel that makes you actually want to spend time out there.
Out front, we handled the landscape installation to round everything out. Fresh plantings, rock beds, and clean edging gave the front of the house the kind of finished look that makes a real difference from the street. When the structural work, the hardscaping, and the planting all come together like this, the property goes from overlooked to genuinely impressive.
Projects like this one are what we do best - taking a yard that has real problems and building something that solves those problems while looking great doing it. Whether it is a retaining wall holding back a slope, a pergola giving you a reason to use your backyard, or fresh landscaping pulling it all together, we handle it start to finish.
